Giving back for over 40 years ...

We are dedicated to serving our community.

Bianchi Honda Cares

Bianchi Honda does not consider itself just a new and used car dealership in Erie PA, we are part of this community.  Bianchi Honda has been actively involved in the community and local charities since 1968.  Not only do we train and employ over 100 people, we also are proud to offer quality products and service to the tri-state area.  We've been generous supporters of all types of community, national, and global organizations.  Our steadfast commitment to the philanthropic endeavors of our employees, customers and neighbors is born from our desire to help others whenever possible.  Please know that while we wish we could help every school, team, religious entity and non-profit, we too are bound by budgetary constraints.  Thank you for your interest in the organizations that Bianchi Honda supports and we hope you too will support them to help them reach their goals.

Bianchi Honda Donates $17,857 to United Way

It’s the season to be giving and Bianchi Honda has done just that. In keeping up with our tradition of giving back to our community, Bianchi Honda contributed $17,857.40 to the United Way for the 2011-2012 campaign, a 15% increase in contributions from last year!

We firmly believe in the United Way’s cause of “Advancing the Common Good.” Life could be better for all if everyone had “Education, Income Stability, and Healthy Lives.”

To show our appreciation to all employees who participated this year, we recently held a prize drawing for our employees. The winners of $10.00 Gas Cards are Heather Cloutier, Matt Curry, and Tom Robinson.  Sarah Lybrook, Holly Wurst, and Jon Zimmer all won Honda Hats. Ken Gushie and Ken Sauer won an Oil and Filter Change. Our Flashlight Winners include Aaron Hansen, Zak Stahlsmith, and Chris Strong. The Travel Mug Winners are Ted Bowen, Josh Elliot, and Gerimee Gervais. Finally, Susan Joehnk won our Grand Prize of a Paid Vacation Day.

Congratulations to all of this year’s winners. Each contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference. Remember to “Live United”.

Bianchi Honda supports the Boy Scouts of America

Bianchi Honda recently presented the French Creek Council Boy Scouts of America, with the complete Little Anne AED Training System to support their CPR summer camp program required CPR training and staff training.

We believe that everyone should know their safety basics, and CPR is definitely one of them. This will help ensure that everyone is safe when the summer of 2012 rolls along.

Supporting the Summit Township Seniors Picnic

With a donation and a few door prizes, Bianchi Honda, was able to have a small hand in making this year’s Summit Township’s 16th Annual Senior Citizen’s Picnic a huge success! It prides us to be able to help out.  Bianchi Honda loves to get involved with the community any way we can.  The picnic had a theme of “Aug-tober Fest” (Oktoberfest in August) which included a German Fare, music by the Haener Brothers German Band, a German dance demonstration, Bingo,  build your own sundae, and craft sessions.

Nancy Agostine, who helped participate in making the picnic everything that it turned out to be, let us know exactly what the goal of this picnic was for the attendees:  “To honor our oldest residents and to provide a venue for social interaction at which old friendships can be renewed and new ones formed.”  It looks like the picnic achieved it’s goal. Everyone had a great time and there was plenty of food, drinks, and prizes to go around! A total of 274 Senior Citizens attended this year’s picnic and 123 of them received a gift either from Bingo or the grand finale Door Prize give-away.  Bianchi Honda is always happy to help in any way we can. We were happy to hear what a success it turned out to be.

Mike Weese in Marathon Run Benefiting Autism

On July 17th, one of Bianchi Honda’s own, Sales Consultant Mike Weese, participated in a half marathon run (13.1 miles). The marathon benefited the Dr. Gertrude A. Barber Foundation to help children with Autism.

One of Bianchi’s customers, Bev DiCarlo also known as Grammy, has been raising money for the foundation for years now. She chose them because her grandson was diagnosed with Autism at a young age and she wanted all the proceeds of her marathons to go the Dr. Gertrude A. Barber Foundation which has been helping children and adults with special needs for over 50 years. She got into the marathons and Triathlons after she took a fall down some stairs that resulted in her hospitalization. She wanted to get back into shape and stay that way and with the help of her son she has a goal to complete a half marathon in all 50 states, the last of which will be held in December 2014. All proceeds she raises will go towards the foundation.

Bev was the one who was able to get Mike Weese involved with this great cause. “She got me motivated to start running so whenever I can, I try to raise money in a run or help out in any way that I can.” Mike was able to raise $626.00 for her cause on July 17th, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the programs for the kids.
This is a great charity program and everyone at Bianchi Honda is very proud of Mike for the work that he has done for it. If you are interested in finding out more about Bev DiCarlo and the foundation please go to www.racewithgrammy.com.

Fun with Erie Otters

Over the years, it has been a pleasure for Bianchi Honda to serve the Erie community.  We enjoy participating in Erie events and we recently took part in Erie’s own 4th of July parade supporting the local Erie Otters!

The Erie Otters have been a huge part of the Erie area since they came to our city about fifteen years ago.  Everyone in the Otter organization gives us their all every hockey season at the Louis J. Tullio Arena and we appreciate all they do for us.

The parade this summer was highly successful and we were happy to support the Erie Otters in their involvement in the event.  The Bianchi Honda truck was in the parade driving along W. 12th Street with a variety of other sponsors, floats, runners, and cyclists. Erie’s Waldameer Park and Water World owner Paul Nelson was the grand marshal of this year’s parade.

It was a pleasure working alongside the Otters for the parade and we wish them the best of luck in the upcoming season starting Friday, September 23rd!

Bianchi Honda supports Fort Leboeuf in Earth Day Event

For the past five years Bianchi has proudly participated in the Fort Leboeuf Middle School Earth Day event. The Environmental Awareness event involves 7th and 8th graders researching and creating Earth Day projects that demonstrate the things we can practice daily to help the Earth be a cleaner place to live.

The event takes place after school on Earth Day, which was on Wednesday, April 13th this year. The students have fun setting up their projects to showcase and demonstrate, while Eco-friendly businesses promote their products and services. This a great chance to learn more about environmental issues and what we can all do to make a difference in our community and overall environment. There was a free raffle to win environmentally friendly  merchandise and even a free Carbon Footprint Analysis donated by a local business.

Every year, Bianchi brings out hybrid vehicles such as the Civic Hybrid and the Insight. This year one of our well-known salesmen, Mike Weese, presented the all-new Honda CR-Z which is a one-of-a-kind sports hybrid! Many of the students were very excited to get their picture taken in the CR-Z and Honda had this in mind when they developed this “green” vehicle. It’s not just a hybrid, it is a car that you would want to show off to your friends.

Bianchi Honda Lives United

Bianchi Honda contributed nearly $14,000 to the United Way for this year’s 2010-2011 campaign, continuing our tradition of giving back to the community. We believe in the United Way’s cause of  “Advancing the Common Good” by creating opportunities for better lives.   Everyone wins when a child succeeds in school, when families are financially stable, and when people are healthy.
