Ready to Road Trip!
It’s finally that time of year to pack up your Honda and head out on the open road with family and friends to find new adventures, and perhaps revisit some old favorites.
Choose a Destination:
Not sure where to start? If you have an idea where you’d like to end up, a great resource is RoadTrippers, which also comes as a handy app for your smartphone. Enter your starting and ending points, and it will pinpoint all the cool things to do along the way within a half hour radius of your route. You can also expand that radius, drag and drop your route to pass through desired destinations, and save your points of interest to a specific road trip plan. Do you like sports? Check out just attractions that involve sporting events, recreational parks, and other one-of-a-kind experiences. Want to see more odd or weird attractions? There’s a category for that too! It can plot where to stay or camp, where to eat, and what to see and how far it is from each point to the next. Happy planning!
Get Ready, Get Set:
The best way to make sure you have everything you need is to make a list! Pack according to your trip. Not planning on dining out during your trip? With a quick search on Google, there are plenty of resources on how to plan meals for a road trip, especially if you’ll be camping along the way.
Before you head out, be sure to check your vehicle’s fluid levels, tire pressure, and make sure you have everything you would need in case of an emergency. That might include a spare tire and tools to change it, a battery jumper, and a first aid kit to name a few things. If you think a spare tire or a batter jump kit is too bulky, consider roadside assistance subscription so you don’t end up totally stranded. It doesn’t take up any room in the trunk and can come in handy, even if you’re not out of town.
Hit the open road! There’s no feeling of freedom quite like the open road and the suspense of new adventures!
