Honda Upgrades HondaLink with Available myQ Connected Garage Door Opener Control
With myQ Connected Garage, drivers of select Honda vehicles can monitor and control their garage door from anywhere, right from the touch-screen. With HondaLink, you can enjoy the convenience of controlling your garage door right from your vehicle’s touch-screen through myQ Connected Garage.
Compatible Honda models (if equipped with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto) include:
- Honda Civic: 2016 and newer
- Honda Accord: 2016 and newer
- Honda HR-V: 2019 and newer
- Honda CR-V: 2017 and newer
- Honda Passport: 2019 and newer
- Honda Pilot: 2017 and newer
- Honda Odyssey: 2017 – 2022
- Honda Ridgeline: 2017 and newer
- Honda Fit: 2017-2022
- Honda Insight: 2019-2022
- Honda Clarity: 2017-2022
Currently, myQ Connected Garage for HondaLink only functions through a wired connection for 2022-23 Civic Touring and 2022 Accord Sport 2.0T, EX-L, and Touring. The technical teams are investigating this issue and expect an update for wireless functionality in the near future.Â

Step 1: Use the myQ Compatibility Tool to determine if your garage door opener is compatible.
If you’re signing up for the myQ Connected Garage 30-day free trial and you still need to connect your garage door opener, you’re also eligible for a FREE universal Smart Garage Control. You just pay $0.99 for handling.
Need a Smart Garage Control unit?
When you sign up for myQ Connected Garage for HondaLink, you will be emailed a one-time use code¹ to purchase a Smart Garage Control unit for $0.99²
Step 2: Check your phone’s compatibility. For iPhone, your device must be running on iOS 15.0 or higher. For Android, your device must be running on Android 13 or higher.
Step 3: If your device and garage are compatible, you’ll need to download the HondaLink app, as well as the myQ garage and access app.
Step 4:Â Link the HondaLink app to the myQ Connected Garage app.
Within the HondaLink™ app, select Manage Features > myQ Connected Garage and follow the prompts.
Step 5: Connect your vehicle to the myQ garage app.
From inside your vehicle, connect your phone to your touch-screen. Then select the Apple CarPlay or Android Auto icon on your touch-screen. This allows you to operate your garage door through your touch-screen, from anywhere.
