Honda Sensing is our exclusive intelligent suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies designed to alert you to things you might miss while driving1. Driving in Erie, Pennsylvania has never been safer.
Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
LDW can detect unindicated lane departures from detected lanes. Alerts will flash and sound to help bring your attention to correcting the lane drift2.
Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)
If your vehicle begins to stray from the center of a detected lane without signaling, the steering adjusts to help bring you back to the lane center3.
Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM)
If your vehicle detects that it is drifting too close to the side of the road without a turn signal activated, RDM alerts you with rapid vibrations on the steering wheel and then can provide mild steering input to help keep you on the road or apply braking to help keep you from going off it.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)4 helps you maintain a set following interval on the highway, so you don’t have to manually change your speed. Select vehicles feature Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow5 to make driving in light traffic easier and more convenient.
Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
CMBS helps brake the vehicle when it senses an otherwise unavoidable collision with a vehicle detected in front of you6.
Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
Integrated with the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), FCW7 uses a small camera mounted at the top of the front windshield to detect the presence of vehicles in front of you. If the FCW system determines that you are at risk of a collision with a detected vehicle, it activates audio and visual alerts to warn you. If you fail to act, the CMBS can automatically apply brake pressure.
1Honda Sensing available on select Honda vehicles. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.2LDW only alerts drivers when lane drift is detected without a turn signal in use. LDW may not detect all lane markings or lane departures; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and road condition 3LKAS only assists driver in maintaining proper lane position when lane markings are identified without a turn signal in use and can only apply mild steering torque to assist. LKAS may not detect all lane markings; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and road condition. 4Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. ACC should not be used in heavy traffic, poor weather or on winding roads. ACC only includes a limited braking function. 5Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. ACC should not be used in heavy traffic, poor weather or on winding roads. ACC only includes a limited braking function; driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions. 6CMBS cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. 7FCW cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. FCW does not include a braking function.
