Bianchi Honda Earns 3rd Honor Roll Distinction from United Way
Lao Tzu once said, “Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love.” For the last 8 years, Bianchi Honda and Porreco Nissan have created a lot of love. Collectively, both dealerships earned honor roll distinction for their efforts in giving to the United Way of Erie.
This honor is bestowed upon businesses that have 5 years of consecutive growth in employee giving. This is the 3rd year in a row that Bianchi Honda and Porreco Nissan have earned this outstanding achievement. On Monday, May 16th, Sean Simon of United Way of Erie stopped by both dealerships to present a plaque to display at Bianchi Honda to commemorate the achievement.
Thanks to the generosity of the employees at Bianchi Honda and Porreco Nissan, we are one out of 11 businesses in Erie County to achieve honor roll this year. Employees at both stores collectively gave $20,113 in the 2015 campaign. “It’s always important to give back to your community and support Erie’s future,” says Jason Porreco, owner of both of the dealerships.
The United Way of Erie County works with locally funded organizations, initiatives, volunteers, and businesses to mobilize the local community. The YMCA of Greater Erie, Family Services of NWPA, and the John F. Kennedy Center are just a few of the Erie organizations that these donations will benefit in the years to come.
