2018-2022 Honda Accord Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto Upgrade

Drivers of 2018-2022 Honda Accords with wired-only Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can upgrade the software to function wirelessly at Bianchi Honda in Erie, PA. The dealer-installed feature upgrade enables wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality on models currently equipped with the wired-only version, enabling wireless access to certain smartphone apps, music, navigation, and voice assistants. The upgrade is available for the 2018 Honda Accord, 2019 Honda Accord, 2020 Honda Accord, 2021 Honda Accord, and 2022 Honda Accord.

  • The software is only available for 2018-2022 Honda Accords with current Apple CarPlay & Android Auto accessibility.
  • For vehicles with Near Field Communication (NFC) features, the NFC function will be disabled with this software upgrade. This applies to Touring, Touring 2.0T, and Hybrid Touring trims.
  • The #2 USB Charging/Connector port will be changed to a USB Charging Port. For iPhone users only, the charging current of the #2 USB port will be reduced from a 2.5A to a 1.5A, which reduces its overall charging capability. Note: This change to the #2 USB port does not affect Android users. The charging current of the #1 USB port will remain unchanged.
  • With the software upgrade, a factory data reset will need to be performed. You will need to reprogram some of the customized features.
  • Once a software upgrade is performed, the original software version cannot be restored.
  • This software may require future updates that are not covered under Vehicle or Parts and Accessories warranties.
  • When trading in or selling the vehicle, please inform the purchaser that this software has been upgraded.
