How Do I Reset the TPMS Light in My Honda?
It’s happened to us all at least once. You’re driving and your “Low Pressure” light turns on. You stop your vehicle in a safe place, check the tire pressure and adjust it to the specified level on the label on the driver’s door jamb. You starting driving again, but the light is still on. Why?!
The Tire Pressure Monitoring System in your Honda monitors the tire pressure while you are driving. If your vehicle’s tire pressure becomes significantly low, the low tire pressure indicator comes on and a message appears on the display. Any time you inflate, change, or rotate one or more of the tires, you need to re-calibrate the system. The calibration process requires approximately 30 minutes of cumulative driving at speeds between 30-65 mph. The vehicle must be stopped to begin calibration, and the process finishes automatically.

2013 Honda Civic doesn’t have tpms button, or under the menu selection have the option of tpms calibration. So how do I reset it. I had a flat and got new tires and have fault messages every time I drive it.
For the 2013 Honda Civic, inflate your tires to the specified PSI on the driver’s side door jamb. The low pressure light will turn off on it’s own after driving.
If the low pressure light is still on after driving and/or there is a TPMS warning on the i-MID (screen on the dashboard), then there may be something wrong with the system. Schedule an appointment to have one of our Honda Certified Technicians inspect the system.
Hope this helps!

i have a 2013 honda CR-V, to which i do not have a TPMS button, nor is there an option in the menu screen? how do i reset the dash light??
If you have attempted the above reset procedures and your vehicle is not equipped with these TPMS reset options, please follow the below steps.
-Please start your vehicle and engage the Parking brake.
– Then locate the arrows on the bottom right of your steering wheel.
– By using either the up or down arrow, navigate through your on dash display inside of your speedometer until you see a symbol that resembles two overlapping rectangles.
– Once this symbol is displayed press the SEL/Reset button on your steering wheel.
– Now press the up or down arrows until you navigate to menu 2/6 labeled “Deflation Warning System”
– Press SEL/Reset again.
– Navigate Down to select INITIALIZE and press SEL button again to confirm.
– Once complete a “Completed” message will appear.
To note, these steps should only be completed after your tire pressure has been refilled to your vehicles required tire pressure.

After getting a puncture repaired I had been unable to figure out how to calibrate/reset the TPMS. I did not have the option in my touch screen, nor a physical button anywhere on the dash or under the steering wheel.
This worked for me. Thanks for sharing!
Great, we’re so happy it helped!
My 2013 CR-V has neither TPMS reset button, nor menu option, nor arrow buttons on lower right of the steering wheel and the “(_!_)” light is stuck on, all tire pressures are exactly to specification, already drove 30 mins between 30-65MPH. Does this indicate a malfunction in the sensors/ECM? Surely Honda wouldn’t be so foolish as to make customers go to a dealership every time the tires need inflation adjustment.
Bring it in to our Service Department. We would be happy to assist you in locating the TPMS information so that you may do so on your own going forward.
I have a 2008 Honda Pilot and there are no buttons and no menus. how do I rest the pressure gauge.
You are correct. There are no button based TPMS sensor reset options on the vehicle. The light is a self resetting system. Once all tires are properly inflated to the recommended air pressures labeled within the door jamb and the vehicle has been driven for an extended period of time (at least 15min or more above 45mph) the light will reset and no longer be displayed on your dash. If the light does not turn off it is possible that you have a bad TPMS sensor in one of your wheels. We recommend bringing the vehicle in so our Honda Certified technicians can asses and scan for the inoperable sensor.
I have a 2012 Civic and the tire pressure light remains on……..even though all tires are inflated adequately. I have attempted all of the reset recommendations without success. I even disconnected the battery for a short time to try and reset the system. The light remains on. Help
Is it possible one of the wheel sensors could be defective?
Thanks
Bill
